Did you know the Rodeo has been a vital part of our city for over 90 years? Hear about the Rodeo Parade on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10 AM, celebrating Houston’s Western heritage and the thrilling lineup planned for this year.

Mark your calendars for special days:

  • Free Family Wednesday Admission: February 28 & March 13, 2024, offer free admission for seniors (60+) and children (12 and under) until noon. Note: This does not include rodeo/concert tickets.
  • Community Day: March 6, 2024, features a buy-one-get-one-free ride and games in the Junction, along with community activations. Plus, enjoy free admission to the Park until noon!

From carnival rides and BBQ contests to unforgettable performances, there’s something for everyone. Danielle shares the massive effort it takes to host such an event, its impact, and how it supports local students.

The parade will be the usual with familiar activities, while the rodeo will feature new events this year. A brand-new website and interactive app called Rodeo Houston are available for download, offering more information.

NRG Park requires year-round effort to host rodeo, with 140+ staff members and 35,000 volunteers ensuring seamless operations.

Encouraging exploration of rodeo, AgVenture for kids, animal exhibits, and shopping at the energy center. Don’t forget the separate shopping vendors at the arena too.

17:35 New features.
The park is focused on inclusivity and has added new amenities to accommodate people with disabilities. This includes a sensory room for individuals with autism or other sensory sensitivities, as well as offering American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation during rodeo performances in the stadium. The ASL interpretation can be accessed via the app or live stream, making it more accessible for individuals who are hearing impaired. This initiative is a rare offering and sets the park apart as an inclusive and accessible event venue.

24:44 Parking.
Promoting public transportation use for an event, offering buy 1 get 1 rides and games for kids on March 6th. Parking is $25, but additional lot opening and tram service provided.

If they can’t find the answer, they can call or visit guest services at the 2nd floor of NRG Center, where specific contact numbers are available for different inquiries.
